scopesim.effects.metis_lms_trace_list.predisperser_angle(wavelength, predisp_coeff)#

Compute the predisperser angle needed for central wavelength.

Added in version 0.11.1.

Parameters:
  • wavelength (float) – Central wavelength in microns.

  • predisp_coeff (array-like) – Array of coefficients to compute the predisperser angle. Element i multiplies the monomial wavelength^i, hence the length of the array determines the order of the polynomial.

Returns:

angle – Predisperser angle.

Return type:

float

Notes

The function implements a polynomial as in Fig.3-15 of E-REP-ATC-MET-1003_3-0.
